The guide will arrive at the address you specify at the appointed time, and you will go on a private sightseeing tour of the towns of the Côte d'Azur.
The tour can start at a time convenient for you, but we recommend starting at 9 am
Grasse
Leaving Nice, you will travel to the perfume capital of France, Grasse. This is the only place in the world where you can learn and see how the process of extracting fragrances from flowers takes place. The history of perfume production and its shops is also presented here, so that you can get the most out of it. You may be surprised by what you hear there…
Fragonard (Fragonard Perfumery)
At the famous Fragonard perfume factory (Parfumerie Fragonard), you will learn about all the stages of perfume production and visit the boutique, where you will have the opportunity to purchase a new fragrance (the cost of the tour does not include entrance).
Gurdon
In 30 minutes we will reach one of the most elevated towns in the region – the legendary Gourdon. The city of crystals and unforgettable views: from the platform located at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level and above the river Loue, you can see a lot from Nice almost to Saint-Tropez. The 13th century castle with half-cut turrets is an incredible example of what the royal will is really capable of. This remote and picturesque village is a stronghold for a 12th century castle built on the foundations of a Saracen pirate fortress. A charming old town with manufactories producing miraculous products similar to crystal products – even Swarovski knows the quality of this place. Take advantage of the free time to explore and visit silk, perfume and glass workshops, old restored houses or shops.
Wolf Bridge
Not far away, a little adventure with chocolate and candies awaits you with a visit to the small Florian Manufactory, which will reveal some of the secrets of candied fruits and flowers, where you can visit a chocolate factory and taste some of the best chocolates in France.
Gourmet
On the way to Tourrettes-sur-Loup, you will pass by the breathtaking cascades and waterfalls of La Gourmette, surrounded by original rock formations, and see the mountainous nature of the Côte d'Azur.
Tourrettes-sur-Loup
Our journey continues towards Provence, and our next stop is a 3,000-year-old village hidden among the hills – Tourrettes-sur-Loup. At the top of a green valley – the Valley of the Wolves – and just above the River Loup, lies a quiet but fairytale town that has seen ancient primitive tribes, Roman legions, the French Revolution and more. Today, it is called the city of violets, and for good reason. Two different gates on either side provide the only entrance and exit to this place. Tourrettes-sur-Loup was an important weaving town in the Middle Ages and after World War II became a center for the production of hand-woven fabrics. Stroll through the old town with your guide and visit several workshops located in the winding streets, offering a wide range of fabrics: from reproductions of old Provencal fabrics to colorful fabrics for the haute couture and furniture market.
Saint-Paul-de-Vence
We continue to the artists’ village hidden among the hills – Saint-Paul-de-Vence. This medieval town, surrounded by ramparts from the 14th century, was once called the Royal City. More than 100 years ago, it became a real Mecca for artists – young painters, sculptors and contemporary designers. The trend began when Picasso, Chagall or Matisse, among many others, came here for inspiration – you will easily understand “why?”. Today, the situation is no different – many still unknown artists find their home here, and you will not believe your eyes when you see the combination: medieval narrow streets with galleries, ateliers, shop windows full of contemporary art. If you are interested in this direction, there is something else: the world’s largest collection of contemporary art, also located in Saint-Paul, in the esteemed museum of the Maeght Foundation. Take advantage of your free time to visit the famous galleries of contemporary art. Over the years, the village has been a place of inspiration for artists such as Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse and many others.
At the end of the tour, the guide will take you to your hotel or desired address.
