Your guide will meet you at the agreed location and you will set off on a journey along the Italian Riviera. After getting to know the French side, it is time to discover its famous neighbors - the beautiful Italian cities of Dolceacqua and Sanremo. All this will take 8 hours. Since this is a private tour, we will be happy to adapt it to your individual expectations.
The tour can start at a time convenient for you, but we recommend starting at 9 am
Dolceacqua
The road trip begins with a visit to Dolceacqua, the village that captured the heart of Claude Monet and thanks to which we can enjoy many of his works. The Doria Castle, as it is also called, has its roots in the 12th century, with substantial fortifications added in the 14th century and its transformation into a more comfortable home during the Renaissance.
Dolceacqua is also known for its olives, which grow in abundance in the region, local flowers and a decent red wine called Rossese, made from grapes grown in the surrounding hills. Pizza here tastes different, just real...
You will also have the opportunity to take photos of the village of Borgo, located on the opposite bank of the river along the road that climbs up the valley.
It is difficult to forget the impression this place makes on tourists.
San Remo
Then we continue to the city of San Remo, located in a spacious bay between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea and protected by two capes, Capo Nero (Black Cape) and Capo Verde (Green Cape). San Remo is the elegant capital of the Italian Riviera, always filled with sunshine and warmed by a pleasant climate. It is the core of the Italian Riviera, the city of flowers and the Italian popular song contest. The variety of shops and boutiques will definitely keep you busy for some time.
La Turbie
On the way back we will make a stop at La Turbie - you may not have heard of it until now, but from the moment you visit you will surely say "WOW". Is it because of the monumental and two thousand year old Trophy of the Alps, built by the Roman Emperor Augustus, still watching over the coast? Or will it be the memorable footprint of Princess Grace of Monaco, released and still present there? Or perhaps you will not believe your eyes, standing at the top and having Monaco at your fingertips like nowhere else? Not convinced enough? Our guide has an additional surprise for you once you get there.
At the end of the tour, the guide will take you to your hotel.
